Cleaning and Clutter Talk

Note that the number of possessions owned by the average person has risen dramatically in the past 50 years. Also, housework since 1976 has fallen in number of hours spent. People don't clean anymore, they just tidy??!! Think about it, in the 1950's, 60's, people just did not consume like we do today.
I remember 'spring cleaning' in those days. Rugs were taken out of the house and beaten and aired out. Bedding as taken all apart and aired out. SC was a major project not to be taken lightly.
