Basic Refreshing

  • linen napkins/tablecloths that are stained (no tablecloths is more modern)
  • dated draperies, sometimes none is better
  • duvets
  • bed pillows (every six months?)
  • towels that are limp
All these softgoods do need to be replaced at least within a year or two, other than the draperies. Don't hang on, take a deep breath and throw out.


  1. Keep one table cloth to put on roadside picnic tables! So much nicer than trying to ignore bird doo.
