Mid-Summer Garden Crisis

Every August the same thing happens to my garden. It gets really sad and dry and dead. I need to fill in, and every store I go to, same story, nada! All the garden stores are the same as my garden or worse. I think I'd like to take the opportunity to start to autumnize things. Instead of buying sad looking impatiens or begonias, I tend to stay with the dark grasses and coleus. Takes the pots and boxes right into the next season, all the while looking perky and fresh. Also, in a week or two, I will move some of the things that will go into the house for the winter, onto my porch, just to get them ready for less light. We shall see what survives!
