Fall in NY

Yesterday was a beautiful fall day, and even better because my day was spent in NYC. The NY Marathon takes place today, and the city was teaming with Europeans who were slated to run in the race. One of my favorite things to do is to take note of people, how they dress, how they present themselves, and the Europeans are a very interesting bunch. The American uniform of the day is jeans, high boots, sweater, jacket and shoulder bag for the women. The European version is (for men and women) slim pants, sneakers, slim jacket and no bag. I think they like to be free and easy with nothing to carry. It makes a lot of sense to me. They look both comfortable and European sleek. Bottom line, saw lots of sneakers and they didn't look frumpy at all, they looked cool, calm and collected.
